Just checked out your website, took me a while to find it but, I was sure you would link to it somewhere. There is a lot of good information there for sure, taking it all in will take a while.

What are your criteria as a legitimate resource? I think people need to seek out financial advisers via recommendation and accreditation.

Generally people who start hedge funds or pooled investment vehicles have a background in finance and have managed money on behalf of individuals in a professional capacity.  This blog was meant to give some basic information to those who are contemplating starting a fund.  Great care should always be taken in choosing a financial advisor.  This article just highlights that if you have yet to take the series 65 or 66, you may still form a small fund, once you begin to grow it is likely that you will be mandated to become a Registered Investment Advisor by either the state or federal government.  The requirements for registration are listed in the blue sky laws of each state, and each state has a different threshold, the requirements for federal registration are listed on the SEC website.
